Question: Why do I need a copywriter?

Everyone can write but not everyone can write well. Your time is valuable and better used elsewhere in your business.

With well-written, professional content on your website you create the impression you need. The right content will target the people you want to, and drive organic traffic and leads.

 

Question: What information will you need from me?

I will make sure we both understand exactly what you require from me and what you expect me to deliver before we agree anything.

I will need to ask you questions to establish your requirements and the information I need will depend on the task, the objective and your expectations. It might just be a title for a blog post, or it might be your in-depth company research, for example.

 

Question: How long will it take?

This will depend on the size and complexity of the work, as well as my availability. A delivery date will be established before we agree on anything.

 

Question: Do you do proofreading and editing?

Yes, I can proofread and edit websites or any other written copy for grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, tone and accuracy.

 

Question: Do you work on a one-off or retainer basis?

I can work either on a one-off, regular or series basis, or on retainer. 

I am happy to agree a package with you to include, for example, one, two or more blog posts a month, one newsletter a month or a quarter: please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

 

Question: What do you charge?

As no two copywriting commissions are the same it is difficult to quote prices here. Pricing will depend on various factors including the amount of research and time required, and the length of the finished piece.

A preliminary discussion about your requirements will enable me to give you an estimate of cost. Depending on the size and complexity of your requirements I may need additional information and at that point will be able to offer a fixed price for your project. All projects, large or small, are priced on a fixed-price basis and include one set of edits.

However, as a starting point the following prices may be of use:

Blog posts: from £75 per post for around 500 words

Newsletters: from £35

Case studies: from £125
